For decades, installing roof insulation in two or more layers with staggered joints has been considered a roofing best practice. Today, it's also a code requirement for many commercial buildings.The 2018 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) requires continuous insulation installed entirely above the roof deck to be installed in at least two layers with staggered joints. What Is Thermal Bridging?
